PM Explains Siem Reap Riverbank Cannot Be Made of Concrete Because it is a Heritage Site

SIEM REAP: Prime Minister Hun Sen has said that the Siem Reap riverbank cannot be made of concrete because the province is a heritage site.

He made this statement at the inauguration ceremony of the official use of 38 roads in Siem Reap on the morning of Monday, 4 April 2022.

The Prime Minister said, "Because some people have complained questioning why we can't do something as simple as pouring concrete [for the riverbank]. In actuality, we can do it, but this is a heritage site [...] And along the riverbank, we plant trees."
